Sit Down, Shut Up to include a Hoya voice

Nick Kroll, '02, will join the voice cast of the new animated feature on Fox, Sit Down, Shut Up. The show also reunites several members of the cast of Arrested Development.

"Sit Down," from Tantamount, Sony and Granada, centers on staff members at a high school who are preoccupied with their own needs and agendas, which means the students come second. Fox greenlighted a table read of "Sit Down," based on the live-action Australian series, last month.

Good Boys and True premieres at Second Stage

Good Boys and True, a new play by Georgetown alum Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, opens at Second Stage Theatre in New York on April 23.

For generations, Saint Joseph’s Prep, an all-boys Catholic school in Washington, D.C., has taken privileged young men and shaped them into “good boys and true." In the late 1980’s, a scandal rocks the school, drawing in a mother and her son — the school’s star football player — forcing each to judge the difference between teenage irresponsibility and what might be a deeper, more unsettling lapse of character.

Mike Birbiglia's Secret Public Journal gets Greenlight at CBS

Mike Birbiglia, '01, who has had two Comedy Central specials and was the youngest comic to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman will have a TV version of his wildly popular blog, My Secret Public Journal, on CBS this fall. The pilot tapes in Los Angeles on April 22.
