Mask and Bauble in 2009-2010: message from the Executive Producer

Dear Georgetown Theater Alumni,

A brief update from The Mask & Bauble Dramatic Society. After lots of paperwork, our season mailing is finally at the printer and hopefully will arrive at some of your mailboxes shortly. In the meanwhile, I've attached a digital copy, which includes our Season Announcement and an event invitation for our Taming of the Shrew Alumni Event. This was an extremely limited mailing, so if you know of someone who would like to have received it, please let us know at maskandbauble@gmail.com and we will send them a copy.

We had a fantastic opening with No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre which sold around 90% of its available seats. Furthermore, in spite of having hardly any money in the budget to spend and even less actually spent, No Exit was a high-impact production that involved alums and faculty teaching students the elements of light design, and it also provided multiple students curious about the artistic process with a chance to observe directing in student theater. See the reviews for the production from campus newspapers here: The Hoya The Voice.

We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming Mask & Bauble production Caroline, or Change by Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori, which is in collaboration with The Black Theatre Ensemble and the Department of Performing Arts. The show will run November 12-14, 18-21 at 8PM and November 15 at 2PM and is Mask & Bauble's debut in the Gonda Theatre in the Davis Performing Arts Center. All Mask & Bauble Lifetime Members will be eligible for a complimentary ticket on a night of their choice. Please contact Laurel Charnetsky (lnc5@georgetown.edu) and she will coordinate with the DPA Patron Services to ensure your ticket is waiting at the will call line when you arrive.

Tickets for the general public, as well as our online membership and donation system, are available at https://digitalcommons.georgetown.edu/blogs/maskandbauble/

We welcome any and all feedback from the Alumni about how to improve Mask & Bauble as an institution that fosters student creativity and leadership. Please send any comments to maskandbauble@gmail.com.

Sincerely,
The 2009-2010 Executive Board The Mask & Bauble Dramatic Society
